Privacy policy

Short version

Park Day doesn't ask you to make an account. Your address and your kids' grade or age bands stay on your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync, that data moves through your own Apple ID, not through Park Day's servers, because Park Day doesn't run any. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used to train anything.

What Park Day stores, and where

Park Day stores the following on your device only:

• The address or general location you enter, so it can match you to your state, county, and school district rules.
• Your kids' grade or age bands, so it can show the right checklist items for each child.
• Any items you've checked off and any places you've saved.

None of this requires an account, and Park Day never asks for your kids' names.

iCloud sync

If you turn on sync, your data is copied to your own iCloud account using Apple's private database, the same way Notes or Reminders sync across your devices. That data belongs to your Apple ID. Park Day never sees it, never stores a copy of it, and can't hand it to anyone else, because it never passes through anything Park Day operates.

What leaves your device, and to whom

Two calls leave your device while you use Park Day, both to look up public, keyless information:

• Apple's geocoding service, to turn the address you type into a location and a school district.
• A US Department of Education boundary service (NCES EDGE), to confirm which school district your address falls in when Apple's result needs a check.

Nothing else leaves your device. The state and program data Park Day shows you is downloaded as a data bundle that carries no personal information at all, no address, no names, nothing about you. It's the same download for every family in that state.

Analytics and tracking

Park Day has no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers of any kind. The only usage data collected is Apple's own opt-in analytics, the same system-level toggle you control in Settings for every app on your phone. Park Day doesn't add anything on top of it.

Children's information

Park Day is used by a parent or guardian on their own device to plan for their family. It doesn't collect a child's name, doesn't create a profile for a child, and doesn't allow a child to interact with the app directly as a separate user.

Your choices

You can delete everything Park Day has stored by deleting the app, which removes the on-device data with it. If you've turned on iCloud sync, you can turn it off and remove the data from iCloud in your device's iCloud settings at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, Park Day will show you the update the next time you open the app.
